Lettuce Be Local, Sterling MA
Lettuce Be Local  helps us source our Meats to Restaurants in central Ma!

"Lettuce Be Local, located in Sterling Massachusetts, is dedicated to supporting both sustainable agriculture and culinary talent.  From our humble beginnings, in 2012, our test pilot has grown into a working business, setting the foundation as the Local Food Hub for the central region of Massachusetts."

"Lettuce Be Local is committed to combating the disparity between sourcing local food and food preparation, resulting in a collaboration that produces a bounty of fresh, healthy and local food direct from the farmers of Massachusetts. We foster real working relationships with farmers that allow us to support, educate and honor their needs and connect with chefs; extending our definition of the word Chef to not only those who work in restaurants, but to anyone with interest in preparing, cooking and presenting nutritious, healthy, local food. We have boots on the ground, running 7 days a week helping to source products from 55 farms and growing"

Indian Head Farm, Berlin MA

Indian Head Farm has been around for TWO centries!! Indian Head Farm turned to small fruit and mixed vegetable production in the mid 70's, with the addition of flowers and the production of jams, pickles, and relishes in the 80's, as it once again responded to the needs of New England consumers.

We (Lilac Hedge Farm) rent space from Indian Head Farm for some of our operations and the Wheeler family has welcomed us to comingle in their space and have helped us in our journey more than we think about on a daily basis. They sell some of our products in their store during their season, and we can have anything available at the farm as we are there almost everyday.
